Trimet Hub Station (Powell BLVD)

Scope of Work: Waterproofing, Caulking/Joint Sealing

Here at the Powell Blvd East side Trimet Hub, Sawtooth was sought after for our Waterproofing and Caulking competence. For the Below Grade Install at the Basement, our crews installed CCW (Carlisle Coatings and Waterproofing) MiraPly H, MiraPly V, and MiraDrain 6000. For the Vertical Below Grade Cast in Place Walls, our crews used CCW MiraDri 860-861 Ultra System.

All Tilt Panel sealants were done with Tremco Dymonic FC Dark Bronze, all Horizontal Joints were done interior SOG with Euco700. EUCO 700 is a two-component, 100% solids semi-rigid epoxy for filling control and construction joints in industrial concrete floors. This product supports the joint edges and reduces spalling of the edges caused by wheel traffic.

All Elevator/Trench Pit interior walls were waterproofed with a material we like to use called Xypex. Xypex products use water as a migrating medium to enter and travel down the capillaries of the concrete. This process precipitates a chemical reaction between Xypex, moisture and the by-products of cement hydration, forming a new non-soluble crystalline structure. This integral structure fills the capillary tracts rendering the concrete waterproof.
