Scope of Work: Masonry Restoration, Traffic Coating
Sawtooth has had he privilege of working with the community that lives at Waverly Yacht Club Condominiums for the past 3 years! Our scopes to this project consisted of 2 separate area’s of work. One area of work was on the West elevation which consisted of residents back patio’s facing the Willamette River waterfront.
On the Residence patio’s, our employee’s started off by demoing all pre-existing traffic coating and side wall flutes. The surface where the flutes were demoed were then smoothed out by applying 2 coats of Ardex patching material. Our team then followed up by installing drip edge sheet metal flashing on patio’s front faces. Next our men checked the patio’s for adequate slope for proper water drainage, if found sufficient, we continued to the process of applying Tremco’s trusted pedestrian traffic coating system 360NF/951NF.
Sawtooth’s second area of work on this project was located on the residents walk ways leading to each of their units. Our team demoed the walk ways of existing traffic coating and proceeded to demo the flutes to a height of 6 inches. We then applied our 2 layers of Ardex patching material to present a smooth finish for our traffic coating to go over. Floors 2 through 5 will get scuppers added to the outside facing walls in replace of the drainage system that was already in place. These Scuppers will provide a smoother transition for water to transition out of the walk ways instead of pooling or clogging. After the installation of all scupper boxes our Traffic Coating division came in to apply Tremco’s 360NF/951NF pedestrian traffic coating system.
On the first floor walk way our team knocked this drainage system out of the park! We decided to make a trough system that the walkways were sloped to, which then dumped into drains displaced throughout the first floor.
